In recognition of August being National Breastfeeding Month, The Boppy Company is continuing its effort of donating breastfeeding kits to support Women, Infants and Children (WIC) programs; hospitals and clinics; breastfeeding coalitions and Le Leche League. Each kit includes 2 Boppy Infinity Nursing Scarves, 100 hospital bassinet cards and a minimum of 25 Boppy®/Lamaze (opens in new tab) Breastfeeding Journals. The kits were sent to 22 states and supported nearly 6000 expecting and new mothers. As part of The Momkind Project, The Boppy Company’s objective is to empower, support and educate Mom throughout her journey of motherhood. We envision a better world for all Momkind.
National Breastfeeding Month (opens in new tab)On August 6, 2011, the United States Breastfeeding Committee (USBC) officially declared that August is National Breastfeeding Month. In recognition of National Breastfeeding Month (NBM), each year the USBC hosts a social media advocacy and/or outreach campaign inviting breastfeeding coalitions, member/partner organizations, and individual supporters to join online actions and conversations to build support for the policy and practice changes needed to build a "landscape of breastfeeding support."
