As a small team, we don't have the resources to invent something for the sake of invention. Which is why our process starts with practical needs. Could we use it? Could you use it? Could we make it more comfortable, useful and safe than anything else available? If the answer is "yes," we get to work.
"Has anyone seen my sewing kit?"
After we conceive a product, it moves to the prototype phase, which is a fancy way of saying it moves to Haley's office where we find room among the swatches and sketches to hand-sew our ideas into reality.
“Hey momma, mind checking this out for us?”
Once our Boppy team approves, our prototype hits the road. From lactation experts to pediatric physical therapists to pediatricians to Mommy-And-Me classes to lactation circles, we get input from every person and professional possible. And then? Then we tweak, refine or pivot as needed.
"Everyone loves it! But is it safe?"
Before anything hits the shelves, it hits the third-party labs to ensure that every component from fabric to fill to foam exceeds every rule, regulation and guideline. Why? Because this is your baby we're talking about here!
