Position Description: Vice President of Commerce (Vice President of Sales & Marketing)

Salary:  $165,000 - $210,000 – dependent on experience

The Vice President of Commerce is responsible for overseeing and managing the full revenue stack and brand identity and marketing of the company. The primary focus of this role is to drive profitable growth. Working collaboratively to develop and lead our sales strategy and brand refresh are critical strategic pillars to drive this growth. Comfort in working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is a must. This hands-on position plays a critical role within the leadership team and reports to the CEO. The ideal candidate will reside in the Denver-metro area.



Sales Strategy

§ Lead omnichannel sales efforts for existing customer relationships while establishing new, profitable, sizeable sales channels.

§ Lead ASP collaboration with key stakeholders inclusive of go-to-market strategies by channel, product and KPI metrics.

§ Build strong external and internal relationships at all levels of management with our customers, specifically executive levels.

§ Leverage market and internal analytics to develop a retailer, customer, and market strategy in support of company objectives.


Brand & Marketing Strategy

§ Lead the company’s brand refresh carrying forward the gems of the beloved brand, generating excitement for product category extensions while having an eye toward modernization and the Gen Z consumer.

§ Develop and execute a consistent brand strategy for all channels including digital and physical retail interactions.  

§ Create and implement data-driven demand generation strategies to attract and engage target audiences.

§ Develop and maintain regular reporting on marketing performance, providing actionable insights to inform decision-making.


Operational Leadership

§ Model sense of urgency to deliver predictable, profitable, and sustainable growth and profit.

§ Monitor key business metrics and communicate trends and performance to executive team and parent company.

§ Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

§ Manage budgets effectively, allocating resources to initiatives that maximize ROI.

§ Anticipate competitive threats in the marketplace while building core competencies for the future.

§ Work cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Leadership to find the right solution to meet customer objectives.

·      Rainmaker and brand enthusiast.

·      10 years of experience leading all aspects of today’s revenue stack:  omnichannel selling, acquisition and retention, attribution marketing and measurement, social selling, and DTC.

·      Success leading a mature brand in a brand refresh.

·      Confident and pragmatic understanding of Amazon, Target, and Walmart.

·      Proficiency in analyzing retail sales data and translating into strategic direction.

·      Expertise in interpreting and analyzing marketing KPIs and pivoting quickly to leverage opportunities.

·      Experience developing creative and comprehensive marketing programs and managing retailer marketing and advertising funds.

·      Strategic leader who is hands-on in Excel and customer presentations.

·      Priority will be given to those with Amazon, Walmart, and Target relationships.

·      Shopify Plus experience would be beneficial.

·      Minimum bachelor’s degree in business.
