Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Boppy pillow safe for baby to sleep on?
Never, ever allow baby to sleep on the Boppy® pillow. Do not allow baby to lie face down on a Boppy® pillow. To prevent positional asphyxia, keep baby’s airway open at all times. For proper breathing when using the pillow for propping, do not allow baby to be curled up in the center of the pillow area or be propped up too high on the pillow. Do not use in crib, cradle, bassinet, playpen, play yard or bed. Do not leave baby unattended – adult supervision is required. Improper use of this product could result in serious injury or death.

How do I clean my Boppy pillow?
Most Boppy products are machine washable and dryable. Wash your Boppy pillow in cold water on the delicate cycle by itself. Dry your Boppy pillow on low heat. We also recommend throwing a sneaker or tennis ball (wrapped in a pillow case) in the dryer to help the Boppy pillow keep its shape.

When propping baby, can I use my Boppy pillow on any other surface than the floor?
When using the product for playing, exercising, propping or anything but feeding, we do not recommend using the pillow on any elevated surface. Use only on the floor.

Where are the products sold?
You can buy most Boppy products online at Babies “R” Us, Target and Amazon. Or, visit our Store Locator to find a store or a website near you.

Is the Boppy pillow available in different sizes?
Now with the Miracle Middle® Stretch Panel, the Boppy pillow fits all waists. The patented design can stretch to fit everyone while retaining its great shape for the multiple other uses.

How long will my Boppy pillow last?
The Boppy pillows are designed for nursing, infant support and play and will last about one year. Boppy pillows can be safely machine washed and dried by following the instructions attached to our products, and even come with a 1 year limited warranty. Experts advise consumers to replace pillows every 1-2 years due to allergens, dust mites and drool…and we all know that drool happens.

My changing pad liners aren’t lying flat, am I doing something wrong?
No, you aren’t doing anything wrong – in fact, you’re doing a great job! If you purchased a Changing Pad Set or a 3-pack Changing Pad Liners sold separately and are having trouble using them, maybe we can help. Click here to send an email and let us know.

Does the Boppy Feeding and Infant Support pillow contain flame retardants?
All bedding items containing filling material must meet certain flammability standards to be sold in the U.S. The State of California has the strictest standards and so all Boppy® pillows are manufactured to meet the flammability requirements of the California Bureau of Home Furnishings.
The fabric and filling in the Boppy Feeding and Infant Support pillow (and slipcovers for those pillows) meet the requirements without the addition of flame retardant chemicals.

What is inside a Boppy Pillow?
The Boppy Pillow is filled with virgin polyester fiberfill and is upholstered in white fabric that is 90% polyester and 10% cotton. What the Boppy wears on the outside is up to you! Its wardrobe consists of slipcovers made from soft cotton blends, to super soft velour or organic cotton.
